Discipline or self-discipline is the willingness to control or correct ourselves in order to be better.
"I keep my body under control and make it my slave, so I won't lose out after telling the good news to others."

Something just came into my mind. It is always my tendency to face the problem rather than putting it aside. But of course at times certain problem has to be put aside so that we can tackle things that are more important but still we have to go back to the problem and work it out. I never like to push things aside and in a way taking issues/problems for granted. Why I say so is because experience had taught me that problems and issues that are not dealt with will keep repeating in your life.

I believe God has put that problem there because there is something He wants to teach us through it. Imagine each time we brush things off and act as though it has never happened, what would we get at the end of the day? Perhaps till a point of your life you will just see yourselves living in a cycle or routine repeating the same mistakes over and over again and still wondering why it is like that. It is so much easier to just dump things aside rather than working it out because abandoning it takes no effort and striving at all. But, each time we do that we just miss out the opportunity God gave us to grow up to be a better person. Problems are meant to be solve and working it out through His grace and guidance. No pain no gain.

2nd May 2010 PhotoSession

We had a great Photo session together and

OBEDIENCE

To obey means to do what we are instructed to do.
In drill you are trained to obey without questioning
thus you learn what it means to be submitted to authority. Like it or not, you have to do it.

Obedience :
To God - John 14:15 If you love me you will obey what I command.
To men - Heb 13:17 obey your leaders & summit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
To Ourself - Phil 2:13 because God is always at work in you to help you make you willing and able to obey to His own purpose.

In this passage we have the assurance that we are not alone as we work on our obedience, God has put His Spirit in us to help us obey. Remember Jesus, who demonstrate perfect obedience to the Father’s will when He died on the cross for our sins.
